Day one: Painting Over the old mural

On the first day, we did a wet blend over the old mural. A wet blend is when you use two colors you want to blend and paint them next to each other, and blend them with, in this case, a dry brush. The space we are working on has a wall with two types of textures. On the left side of the wall, there is a pebbly texture, that is very hard to get paint into, while the right side of the wall is really smooth and easier and a lot nicer to work on.
While working on the blend, Ms. Jones, our mentor in the project, told us not to worry if the blend does not look the way you want it to because a gradation can always be fixed in a rough area.
When we finished covering the wall, it had been four hours. We cleaned up the throw clothes and then planned for our next meeting.
